Junior A - Eastern Canada Championship - Fred Page Cup

The Fred Page Cup is the Eastern Canada Junior "A" ice hockey championship of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The Fred Page Cup is awarded to the winner of a round robin and playoff between the Bogart Cup champions of the Central Junior Hockey League, the Kent Cup champions of the Maritime Hockey League, La Coupe NAPA Champions of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League, and a pre-determined host team. The winner of the Fred Page Cup moves on to the Junior "A" National Championship known as the Royal Bank Cup. For the Atlantic hockey leagues the Fred Page Cup was preceded by the Callaghan Cup. The trophy was donated by the Quebec Provincial Junior A Hockey League in 1994 to create an Eastern Canadian Championship in honour of past Canadian Amateur Hockey Association President Fred Page. The 1995 Championship marked the first time teams outside of the Maritime Provinces were allowed to compete for the Eastern Canadian Championship for a place in the National Championship.

Atlantic Canada Junior A Championship

Prior to the creation of the Callaghan Cup in 1981 the leagues in Atlantic Canada played for the Atlantic Junior A Championship. Over the years leagues competing incliuded the Eastern Junior A Hockey League, the Island Junior Hockey League, the Metro Valley Junior Hockey League, the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League, the Newfoundland Junior A Hockey League and the St. John's Junior Hockey League. The winner advanced to the Dudley Hewitt Cup championship for Eastern Canada.
